FLEURS
Nature is a silent witness to time, a succession of moments where beauty blooms at its fullest before fading away. In Fleurs, the image is divided between clarity and transience, between permanence and disappearance. Like a memory clinging to the mind yet dissolving with the passage of time, the Astrantias emerge sharply on one side, while on the other they fade into a veil of motion, caught in that threshold between being and vanishing.
This work encapsulates the fragility of natural existence: the fleeting perfection of a flower that, at its precise moment, is everything, and then transforms, distorts, surrendering to the inevitable metamorphosis of time. Like a whisper dissolving in the wind, the flower becomes both trace and absence, memory and forgetting.

The four-colour screen print on handmade vat cotton paper not only enhances the depth of the image but also physically embodies the duality of time and perception. The paper’s dual texture intensifies this tension between what endures and what slips away. On one side, the image asserts itself with clarity, as if capturing a moment at its peak splendour; on the other, the flowers seem to fade, stirred by an imperceptible breeze, as though time itself is already erasing their existence.
Fleurs is a dialogue between the tangible and the ethereal, between what once was and what remains.
